Covid-19 Testing

Hello followers of drcater.net and Greenbrier Family Medicine!

We have begun to offer point of care rapid testing for Covid-19 using the BD Veritor system. The test takes about 15 minutes and is appropriate for patients who have had symptoms suggestive of coronavirus infection that started in the last 5 days. If you feel like you need to be tested, call the office at 256-770-4327 to make an appointment!

P.S. - We also offer point of care antibody testing for patients who feel like they might have recovered from a Covid infection in the last couple of months.

P.S.S. - For patients who have been exposed to Covid-19, but have no symptoms, we are still using the PCR test throught Labcorp. This is a send-out test that typically takes 2 days for results.
